Field Notes: March Edition
Creative Direction | Editorial Writing | Layout Design | Digital Collage & Image Editing | Typography | Visual Identity Development | Publication Design | Content Curation
Field Notes is a digital collage-style magazine created as an alternative to a traditional monthly newsletter for the band House Mouse. The project combines diary entries, photography, textures, writing, screenshots, and visual fragments to create a more personal and immersive way of documenting the band’s world.
The February edition was creatively directed around the theme of fashion. Inspired by different fabrics and clothing pieces, stickers, doodles, and scrapbook aesthetics, the issue uses layered collage techniques and experimental layouts to recreate the feeling of childhood memories in a digital format.
The design intentionally feels handmade and slightly chaotic, balancing playful visuals with more intimate written moments.
For this project, I handled the full creative process including concept development, editorial writing, layout design, typography, image treatment, and visual direction. The goal was to create something that felt emotionally genuine and visually distinct — functioning both as a piece of band branding and as a creative archive of a specific moment in time.
